As I'm reading through John, I just had some thoughts that I did not want to lose. So I thought I'd start a blog again.....at least for my own benifit.
One thing that struck me was that they tried to kill Lazarus! John 12:10-11 The chief priest made plans to kill too because on his account many Jews were rejecting them and believing on Jesus. In the past I've had a few conversations with a friend about why don't we hear more about Lazarus going around preaching about how he was raised from the dead. "That would sure make me believe", said my friend. Well, there you have it...they were trying kill him!!
The other thing that I've noticed in John that I have not noticed before is that it is pretty clear that Judas is there when Jesus washing the feet of disciples and there is no mention of him being excluded. So, I am presuming that Jesus washed Judas feet as well. What an encounter that must have been. And what an example to even wash the feet of your enemies.
